Turbine vibrators maintain 70-75 dBs throughout their entire life, as compared to the sharp increase in noise levels for ball, roller and piston vibrators. Turbine vibrator sound levels actually decrease after a short "break-in" period and retain a constant low sound level throughout their life.

Although ball and roller vibrators can start at under OSHA limits, they quickly and steadily increase noise levels to well-above OSHA standards to beyond bearable range. This is cause by the ball or roller "jumping" and accelerating each time it passes the air inlet, causing pitting and continued wear to the ball and races.
